Allison K. Divers, M.D., FAAD, is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and trained in medical, surgical and aesthetic skin care and treatment. She moved back to her hometown of Roanoke after finishing her dermatology residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2002. Dr. Divers was a registered nurse prior to attending Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and knows that her nursing experience was invaluable to the physician she has become.
The Bradley Free Clinic of Roanoke Valley is near and dear to her heart, as she has a living history with the clinic. She first volunteered there when she was a Hollins College student; then as a nurse and now as a dermatologist, both in seeing patients in our office as well as serving as a member of the board of directors.
In addition to serving her patients’ dermatologic needs in her daily practice, she believes very strongly in supporting basic scientific dermatology research and is a member of the Dermatology Foundation, Leaders Society.
Dr. Divers provides diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin diseases and conditions. She is especially interested in the surgical treatment of skin cancer and very much enjoys cosmetic dermatology. Her eye for art complements her aesthetic talents in serving her patients. She welcomes you to enjoy all the beautiful original artwork adorning the office walls. It is the creative dimension that replenishes.
Outside of the office, Dr. Divers enjoys gardening, reading and watching movies with her husband. She also loves art and spending time at museums and galleries.
